im creating and testing a VMWare image of windows 10 pro x64 with MS Office 2013 and SolidWorks 2019 installed.

I found online that the following lines have to be added to the .vmx file (using notepad)
the rtc.startTime is the date/time that you want the VMWare OS to boot into, its in UTC format (use https://www.mbari.org/utc-calculator/ to calculate your required date) the rest of the lines are for turning off the time sync between host and guest OS.
