The 2020X version of DELMIA introduces new features and improvements that extend our model-based solutions to the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) segment, while continuing to offer advanced technologies and experiences to our customers. The new Service Process Engineer function covers the complex product maintenance needs of the MRO segment, and includes improvements for Supply Chain Director, Demand Planner, Collaborative Forecasting and Supply Planner of DELMIA Quintiq in order to offer a closer collaboration with other functions of 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
In addition, three new additive manufacturing functions are added that extend DELMIA's leadership in this emerging area. Thanks to Material Deposition Programmer, Additive Manufacturing Engineers can prepare, program and validate the manufacturing process for directed energy deposition (DED) using NC machines or robots.
The Part Preparation for Manufacturing Engineer function helps perfect the design of a part and prepare it for 3D printing. Finally, the Distortion Checker for Additive Manufacturing function simulates the additive process to predict thermal distortions during 3D printing.
